Every journey begins with a small step, and every story begins with a single paragraph.
If its a project that involves no risk and hardship, then its not worth it at all. If nobody calls the idea crazy, then dont bother doing it. Frankly speaking, I dont even know where to start writing a prayer booklet like that. I'm not even a bible scholar, I'm just a struggling uni student. Heck I'm not even an arts student, I cant even write properly. Even before going into the process of writing, sometimes I wonder: is it such a good idea? What difference is it going to make??
Then again, it's never about myself rather its about Him. Knowing that even a mere 5 loaves and 2 fishes can feed the 5000 when placed in the father's hands. It's the heart and attitude of giving up what I have.
It's quite interesting just to sit there and contemplate about prayer. It's just weird. It's a challenge I guess: To try to bring forth the importance of prayer in written form. How do I even describe such a wonderful relationship in words?
I hope I write with conviction and inspiration. Conviction from my heart, that what I write is not mere words, rather it is a plea and prayer as well, that people will know that prayer is the greatest work, that the wonders of prayers have not ceased, that there is no victory that is not brought about by faith and prayer. I too do not fully understand it, but am learning as well. Inspiration from the Holy Spirit, because I know that eloquence of word(or lack thereof) alone cannot convince hearts.
Lastly, here's a short snippet i obtained from a book.
Many do not understand this trade of praying because they have never learned it and hence do not work at it. Many miracles ought to be worked by our praying. Why not? Is the arm of the Lord shortened that He cannot save? Is His ear deaf that He cannot hear? Has prayer lost its power because iniquity bounds and the love of many has grown cold? Has God changed from what He once was? To all these queries we enter an empathic negative. God can as easily today work miracles by praying as He did in the days of old. 'I am the Lord; I change not'. 'Is there anything too hard for the Lord?'
He who works miracles by praying will first of all work the chief miracle on himself....
May I (as well as others) fully understand a Christian's life of praying, remain faithful to it and find the joy of just seeking the Lord.
