Unseen?

I'm quiet you know
You make a first impression

I like the analogy of a swan. Where everything seems peaceful and calm, but beneath its just crazy, hard work...

Stick it in...

They say the state of your room reflects the state of your mind.

It's just bits and pieces everywhere... Looking at some of my midsemester results, the sinking feeling starts to set in. The fear of falling at the last hurdle... what i'm always so prone to and afraid of. I know I should be doing better than this? Yeah just have to keep at it. I give thanks nevertheless.

I never felt I had no time before. No matter I reshuffled my schedule, time doesn't seem to be working out. NPMM report's not done, I don't even have a slightest idea what to share this weekend....

Day by day, just walking by grace, enduring, hanging in there, sticking it in. Looking up and hoping.

The Mundane

Coffee doesn't have an effect anymore. Strangely enough, I survived the 80 clock today but was out totally during the 11o clock even after my cup of latte...

I'm inspired to play soccer. Rather I want to play soccer... That's the problem with watching champion's league games... It just makes my foot itch and there is that inner desire just to go out there and kick a ball.

I wonder why do aussies like footy... Personally I think it is a very unexpressive game. Will there be Ronaldos or Lebrons of footy? I really dont think so. No doubt it really is a physical game, and there is an athletic aspect of it to be valued. But is it all about the fastest, strongest and the one who can jump the highest?? It seems so with footy. What happened to style of individual flair?? The stark contrasts between different players and teams. The way they play, their styles and tactics anymore etc etc the aesthetic aspect of the game? It no longer becomes a physical battle anymore. Maybe I just don't know how to appreciate footy.

Just Play beautiful..

Rock the House down...

I have neighbours now, and they blast bangra/bollywood type music till the floor shakes... If it ever happens again, I will go over and ask them in a very civilised and polite manner to keep it down. Need some peace and quiet around here... ...

Staring into mirrors

What I get from my reflection
Isn't what I thought I'd see.
so, give me reason to believe
You'd never keep me incomplete
Will you untie this loss of mine?
It easily defines me,
Do you see it on my face?
And that all I can think about is how long
I've been waiting to feel you move me.

Close my eyes and hold my heart
Cover me and make me something
Change this something normal
Into something beautiful

Hymn

Oh gaze of love so melt my pride
That I may in Your house but kneel
And in my brokenness to cry
Spring worship unto Thee

The numbers game. I've always liked the number 3. Third time's the charm, three wishes, three men from the east, on the third day.... Also, include the fact that one of the childhood idols I had donned the number 3 jersey.

Nothing like a warm cup of tea in the midst of work. Ever contracting that unknown disease, he's always been restricted to handling the paperwork. His flowing black hair turned into the shade of snow. The medication he took caused it to turn white. Nobody knew that, but he never bothered explaining it to people either.

The captains... Some people worshiped the ground they walked on, some people feared them with all their lives, but everyone respected them. Nobody stopped respecting him just because he became sickly. Maybe he's held that position so long that no one could doubt his qualities and character.

People respected him because he was benevolent. He treated all his squad members like family, like sons and daughters... They weren't just mere followers, but to him, each and everyone of them was a person...

To them, that was all they wanted....

Till I See You

The greatest love that anyone could ever know
That overcame the cross and grave to find my soul
And till I see You face to face and grace amazing takes me home
I'll trust in You

With all I am I'll live to see Your kingdom come
And in my heart I pray You'd let Your will be done
And till I see You face to face and grace amazing takes me home
I'll trust in You

His love is much much greater, beyond the expanses of my mind. To know the love that surpasses knowledge. How do I completely know something that surpasses knowledge? It's beyond comprehension. To even start, the first step is to accept it. To accept God's saving and redeeming love... The love which is high enough to bring us into a relationship with a heavenly father, wide enough to redeem everyone and anyone who believes, deep enough to forgive the worst of sinners, and long enough to go into eternity....

'For God so loved the world, He sent His one and only son to die for us, that whosoever believes will not perish but have eternal life.'

Weakness

Only 1 place I can run to... amidst all the barraging thoughts.

Life's a journey, and its about Him and never about me...

Thursday, April 19

Mind games...

We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.

Humility

They say its the deadliest sin, and it always creeps into our lives without us knowing it. My life to be specific...

and sometimes an 'oh well' wont suffice.

All I can depend on is His grace and love.

Wednesday, April 18

and so...

he continues to laugh sickly at himself.

Staring into mirrors, and looking at the reflections staring back at him...

The first time I had (close to) 6 hours worth of practical. The day started at 9am, and I had non stop classes till 430pm... with just a teeny weeny 20 minute coffee break in between.

'Welcome to the real world...''

'Cheers!' and I just laugh sickly at myself.

Sleeping

Sometimes, I dont sleep to rest, I sleep to take my mind off things.

Monday, April 16

Let my words be few...

May prayer be my first and last resort...

For you.

For the eyes of the LORD move to and fro throughout the earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is completely His... 2 Cr 16:9

Weakness

Sometimes, all I can do is pray. In my weakness and my helplessness, all I can do is cry out to God.

There are so many a times I wished I could have said better words, or I could have did something to help. But all I could do was just to pray....

Being helpless and weak, the seemingly foolishness of it, the confessions and crying out of a madman...

May your strength be made perfect in my weakness.... please.

Trade this ashes in for beauty

Psalm 103

1 Praise the LORD, O my soul;
all my inmost being, praise his holy name.

2 Praise the LORD, O my soul,
and forget not all his benefits-

3 who forgives all your sins
and heals all your diseases,

4 who redeems your life from the pit
and crowns you with love and compassion,

5 who satisfies your desires with good things
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.

6 The LORD works righteousness
and justice for all the oppressed.

7 He made known his ways to Moses,
his deeds to the people of Israel:

8 The LORD is compassionate and gracious,
slow to anger, abounding in love.

9 He will not always accuse,
nor will he harbor his anger forever;

10 he does not treat us as our sins deserve
or repay us according to our iniquities.

11 For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
so great is his love for those who fear him;

12 as far as the east is from the west,
so far has he removed our transgressions from us.

13 As a father has compassion on his children,
so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him;

14 for he knows how we are formed,
he remembers that we are dust.

15 As for man, his days are like grass,
he flourishes like a flower of the field;

16 the wind blows over it and it is gone,
and its place remembers it no more.

17 But from everlasting to everlasting
the LORD's love is with those who fear him,
and his righteousness with their children's children-

18 with those who keep his covenant
and remember to obey his precepts.

19 The LORD has established his throne in heaven,
and his kingdom rules over all.

20 Praise the LORD, you his angels,
you mighty ones who do his bidding,
who obey his word.

21 Praise the LORD, all his heavenly hosts,
you his servants who do his will.

22 Praise the LORD, all his works
everywhere in his dominion.
Praise the LORD, O my soul.

Words that I always wanted to say to the people but yet I haven't said it to them yet...

'And neither will I walk off and leave you. That would be a sin against God! I'm staying right here at my post praying for you and teaching you the good and right way to live. But I beg of you, fear God and worship him honestly and heartily.' 1 Sam 12:23

Let my heart be without words, rather than my words without heart...

The Heavy Heart

Remember that its death to ressurrection and then life.
From the cross, to the grave, from the grave to the sky.
Good Friday AND Easter Sunday.

We celebrate Sunday because of what happened from Friday to Sunday....

It comes together....

Kinsman Redeemer

Just reading the book of Ruth, looking at the distinct parallel between the old testament and the new testament, really brought a sense of comfort to me? The story of redemption in the context of a love story. Knowing the Lord is my Kinsman-Redeemer just really puts things into perspective...

A stark contrast to the book of Judges... Reading the bible in order really does make more sense! I wonder why I never read Ruth like this before.

Primary Wonder

Days pass when I forget the mystery.
Problems insoluble and problems offering
their own ignored solutions
jostle for my attention, they crowd its antechamber
along with a host of diversions, my courtiers, wearing
their coloured clothes; cap and bells.

And then

once more the quiet mystery is present to me, the
throng's clamour recedes; the mystery
that there is anything, anything at all, let alone
cosmos, joy, memory, everything,
rather than void: and that, O Lord,
Creator, Hallowed One, You still,
hour by hour sustain it.
