Hmmm blogging of the top of my head. Just random thoughts since coming back to the island.
Few things that really evoke a response in me:
1) The green no.4 uniform. What is that? It' s the standard camouflage uniform for the island army. Yeah the first time i saw that in a year, it really sent chills down my spine. hehz. apparently, in addition to a name, they have the word 'Sin***ore' sewn onto the uniform now.
2) The state of fashion on the island, or the literal lack of it... Sometimes I just understand why JohnM says 'I dont like summer'. At moments like these, I wished I didnt have perfect eyesight and normally the distateful dress sense comes from ahlians. OK shall stop being critical now.
Other random things
- Bookstores here wrap all their books and people cant read books at the bookstores. People are expected to BUY the books home to read. bummer man.
-Friends getting engaged/thinking of getting engaged. Frankly speaking, it's something that's definitely not that out of the blue. Not everyone's lives follow a certain same set of timing. Soon there will be weddings to attend, and red packets to give. haha the next phase of life
- Met up with different groups of friends today. Yeah just happy to be in their company. Listening to my friends' outlook on life, about earning the big bucks, listening to people complaining about getting old/being uncle. Just chatting and having fun. (Well fun nowadays is just hanging out with people and talking, enjoying each other's company) It's not about the place, the activity, but I guess it's about the company/people we spend time with that makes a difference.
At the end of the day, we just look back at life and have a good laugh at it. To everyone who's reading, have a blessed Christmas and may you find the true meaning of Christmas.
