The Past

Does what we do in the past define what we are today?
If so, aren't we all just prisoner of our own devices?

True, the consequences of our actions still hang around. We should be responsible for the consequences of our actions but at the same time, we should transform every past hurt and mistake into an opportunity for learning, both for ourselves and for others.

Then does our past circumstances define us? I think not
Our attitude towards our circumstances defines us. What we believe in our heart defines us.

Like water reflects a man's face, a man's heart reflects a man.

If our hearts continue to wallow in the past and not believe in he who has set us free, we will always be prisoners.
